selenoproteinP

Coronavirus infection is spreading without a silver bullet.

Why is it getting worse? Why is it worse outside of Asia?

I was thinking.

“The mRNA of selenoprotein P binds to RIG-I to inhibit its function and regulate the innate immune system."

I read this and thought about it again.

Will hepatitis C and type 2 diabetes be more likely to become severe?

Do Westerners have more selenoprotein P specifically than Asia?

Isn’t it a problem of host mRNA that immunity is difficult to function?

If I had a large amount of selenoprotein P specifically, would immunity not work and it would become severe?

Oh, I don’t know anything.
