“Passing points” refer to the places or stages you go through on the way to your destination or goal. On the other hand, “arrival points” mean the final goal or destination you aim to reach. In business or project management, passing points are set as intermediate objectives or milestones to be achieved, while arrival points represent the final objectives or outcomes of the project.

For example, a project’s passing point might be the “completion of a product prototype,” and the arrival point could be the “launch of the product in the market.” Passing points serve as important indicators to check progress towards the final arrival point and adjust plans as necessary.

In goal setting, it’s crucial to properly establish passing points and achieve them to clarify the path to the final arrival point, maintaining motivation and ultimately reaching the objective.
